ECHO THE HEART OF IMAGING
Pakistan society of echocardiography is not for profit body for the spread of echocardiographic knowledge. It has been re-organized by echocardiography enthusiasts on the occasion of 50th Cardiocon conference-2021, held at Karachi.
The main objectives of the society are to organize academic activities, rationalize the acquisition and reporting of echocardiographic studies according to standard guidelines, create local guidelines for such provision, initiate local chapters in major centers of country, coordinate with international echocardiographic societies, train new entrants to the field, launch research activity mainly based on this imaging modality and any activity which help boost echocardiography in the country.
The society comprises of a panel of office bearers with its main office located in the premises of Pakistan Cardiac Society, Karachi.
Besides central office bearers local chapters will be created in major cities to organize local meetings of interesting echocardiography cases, with some of them being posted on the website of PSE, regularly.
Full members comprise of doctors (especially those engaged in echocardiography) after paying a nominal annual or lifetime fee. Non doctors (especially echo-techs) can become associate members.
As the society get its roots anchored, an echocardiography journal would be initiated.
To run the affairs of PSE smoothly and especially to provide secretarial and digital help M/S Wilson’s Pharmaceuticals have extended their cooperation, however, help in this regard from other quarters would also be welcomed.
